ELKHART ― The Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (RVIC) says it is officially canceling this year's Midwest RV Super Show.

It was learned in July that plans were on hold for the usual August dates in Elkhart. At the time, the RVIC said it hoped to reschedule for sometime in September.

On Tuesday, however, they announced they have completely scrapped this year's show, but hope to have it next August.

This is the first time in 54 years that the show won't happen. Organizers blame the economy.
