Fire reported at Claypool processing plant

Firefighters were called to a Kosciusko County plant early Thursday after fire broke out at the facility.

The call was reported at 3:17 a.m. to the dispatch center when the fire was discovered in machinery at the Louis Dreyfus facility in Claypool.

The plant, in the 7300 block of Indiana 15 South, processes soybean and biodiesel products.

There were no injuries reported and the fire appeared to be quickly contained.

No information was yet available on the cause of the fire.
