Transpo details detours, service to Notre Dame football games

Detours for some Transpo routes during Notre Dame home football games have been announced. Also, Transpo will not provide any game day transportation for the Notre Dame’s 2009 football season.

On-campus transportation (White Field and D2 lots) will be handled by a combination of private providers:

The Team Bus, 13192 McKinley Highway, Mishawaka. Web site: theteambus.com; Phone: (574) 256-9956

Off-campus transportation (Stadium Express) will be handled by The Free Enterprise System.

Transpo detours:

The Sweep will not be in service between 11:40 a.m. and 9 p.m.

No. 7 Notre Dame outbound and inbound: Beginning at 10:20 a.m., trips, buses will bypass the campus. Buses will travel the regular route to the Notre Dame Avenue/South Bend Avenue intersection and then detour slightly. The No. 7 Notre Dame route will not be in service from 6:20 to 9:20 p.m. Regular service resumes at 9:20 p.m.

No. 5 North Michigan outbound and inbound: Beginning at 10:20 a.m., buses will bypass the Saint Mary’s College campus. Regular route travel will detour slightly at Ind. 933 and Saint Mary’s Drive. The detour is in effect from 10:20 a.m. through the day and evening.
