A Saturday night fight at Broken Arrow Campground in Winamac ultimately lead police to find 200-plus marijuana plants in a “very sophisticated indoor grow” at a house in Knox, according to a Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office report issued Monday morning.

Officers were sent to the campground at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on a report of a fight. One of the men reportedly in the fight, Johnny Dewayne Green, gave police permission to search his trailer. There, police found marijuana hanging to dry as well as equipment to grow and cultivate pot.

At that point, Green was arrested on various marijuana-related charges and an unrelated charge of battery causing bodily harm.

A short time later, a search warrant was issued for Green’s Maple Street house in Knox. There, police found several hundred marijuana plants and irrigation and lighting systems.

Green is in the Pulaski County jail. Additional charges are pending through Starke County.
