SOUTH BEND — Firefighters responded to a fire about 9 p.m. Monday at a maintenance building on the nine-hole Notre Dame Golf Course.

The Notre Dame and Clay Township fire departments responded to the blaze.

No flames were visible outside the building, but it had scorch marks.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
