South Bend Police are sorting information they received from a man who’d been stabbed late Thursday night.

Police were called to a business in the 3200 block of West Sample Street because a man there had a stab wound.

During the investigation, police found nothing at the scene to indicate the stabbing happened at that location, according to an emergency services dispatch supervisor. Police are trying to find out how the man came to be wounded.

The man, who was believed to be intoxicated, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no immediate information on his condition.
