Police issue Silver Alert for missing Freemont man

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department is investigating the disappearance of a Fremont, Ind., man early Sunday under the Silver Alert designation, the sheriff announced Sunday. He is believed to be in danger.

Stuart H. Stalcup, is a white male, 48 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, has balding dark brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen at midnight Sunday in Fremont, which is 55 miles north of Fort Wayne.

Stalcup was last seen wearing a plaid flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a blue with yellow vest.

Police said Stalcup is likely traveling on foot.
