Crash on Toll Road sends 3 to hospital

GRANGER — State police said three people were injured Saturday after a car rolled onto its roof while traveling on the Indiana Toll Road.

The accident shut down westbound traffic on the highway for about an hour, after the crash near the 83 mile marker just after 6 p.m.

Indiana State Police said three people — an adult and two children — were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Police said the accident could have been much worse as it occurred on top of the bridge that passes over Currant Road in northeastern St. Joseph County.
