SOUTH BEND - A 47-year-old woman told police she was robbed by an armed man she found in her garage Tuesday morning.

Police said the woman was confronted by a man with a handgun in her garage in the 2500 block of West Frederickson Street about 8:10 a.m.

He asked for money, and after she gave him some he told her to get in a closet and not move for 10 minutes.

Police said that after the woman heard the back door close, she called police, who did not find the suspect.
