An Elkhart man has died after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree as he traveled in Noble County Wednesday night.

Connie Graham, 57, was headed northbound on U.S. 33 about 8:20 p.m., in the town of Kimmell, when his Dodge Caravan left the roadway and continued more than 300 feet before striking the tree.

Graham was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department.

His passenger, 20-year-old Benjamin Graham, also of Elkhart, was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with multiple injuries.

The younger Graham was in fair condition early Thursday, according to hospital staff.

Police say they don’t yet know what caused the crash.
