Fourth suspect in fatal Birdsell Street shooting arrested

SOUTH BEND ― The last person wanted for the shooting death of a South Bend man is now behind bars.

Benjamin Harris, 19, surrendered to police Thursday. He was one of four suspects in the murder of Phillip Bell on Birdsell Street two weeks ago.

Three others face murder charges in the case. Neighbors say they heard dozens of shots before Bell's body was found on a sidewalk.
