Police bust Goshen underage drinking party

Police arrested six teenagers early Sunday when they broke up a large party in Goshen.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Teenage Alcohol Reduction Unit arrived at a home in the 61500 block of County Road 33 at 6 a.m., and found at least 130 people at the party.

Officers said alcoholic beverage containers were scattered everywhere.

They arrested the homeowner, 44-year-old Marion Mullet, on a preliminary charge of contributing to the delinquency of minors.

They also cited 14 other adults from communities including Middlebury, Nappanee and Shipshewana, and released 20 teenagers to their parents.

The teens must also appear in juvenile court.
