CONSTANTINE — Two years and almost 800 leads, but still no answers in the murder of 11-year old Jodi Parrack. The case has frustrated police and the community of Constantine, Michigan.

Sunday, exactly two years to the day Jodi was found murdered, family, friends, and the community held a vigil to remember and honor her memory.

Emily Elder, Jodi's cousin, was one of dozens of people who gathered to remember Jodi Sunday night. "It went by really, really fast. It is weird that it has already been two years," said Emily. "She was actually a brave, very funny person. She had a great personality and she was really, really nice."

Friends and family and the community gathered with the hope that candlelight would spark a memory, and help police find her killer.

"I am kind of angry, but you have got to be patient," said Jodi's Grandmother Linda Allbaugh. "They have got to get the right person."

Jodi was found in a cemetery near her home by her mother. Nearly 800 leads have come in, but police still haven't found the killer who left DNA on Jodi's body.

Constantine Police Chief Jim Bedell has his theories. "I am having a hard time convincing myself that it is a stranger. I think if it was a stranger that picked her up, we would still be looking for her body. I think it is somebody who knew her," said Bedell.

Chief Bedell says new DNA at the Michigan State Crime Lab is being processed from a potential suspect. He says there have been a lot of suspects in the case, but they were all eliminated through DNA tests. He says he's not giving up until he provides closure to the family and community.

For now, though, Sunday's vigil served as a reminder to Jodi's killer that they will be caught and she will not be forgotten.
