Police search for Family Video robbery suspect

For the second time in recent weeks, the Family Video store north of South Bend was robbed late Tuesday, just before midnight.

The store, in the 51500 block of Indiana 933 near Auten Road, was robbed by a suspect described as a black male with a hooded sweatshirt, baggy pants, and a covering over his face.

He was armed with a handgun, according to St. Joseph County dispatch. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, and was last seen running east toward Auten Road.

Police, assisted by a K-9 unit, continued their search for the suspect early Wednesday.

The store also was robbed on Oct. 27.
