Heartland Recreational Vehicles announced early Tuesday morning a hiring push to employ more than 400 workers by March.

In an e-mailed press release, company president Brian Brady outlined the hiring plan:

  • Approximately 200 production workers will be hired by the end of November.

  • Then, the fifth-wheel and travel trailer company will hire 200 more workers during the first quarter of 2010.

Heartland began production in 2004 in Elkhart and will debut five new brands at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., in December, according to the news release.

“We are focused on being a full-line towable manufacturer,” said Coley Brady, Heartland’s fifth-wheel sales director.”

The news release did not indicate how potential employees can apply for jobs. The company's office was not open yet Tuesday morning when WSBT called for hiring details.
