SOUTH BEND - A woman told police that two teenagers pulled a gun and tried to rob her Sunday night, but she escaped unharmed.

The 45-year-old woman told police she was pumping gas at the Phillip’s 66 gas station at 3425 Lincoln Way W. just after 9 p.m. when she was approached by two teens, both between 16 and 18 years old.

The woman said one of the teens displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded her money. She said she told them she had none, as another car pulled into the gas station.

The woman said the teens, afraid of being spotted with the gun, put it away and left the parking lot. The woman then went home and filed a police report.

She described the teens both as black, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing black knit hats, black hooded sweatshirts and black pants.
