Dense fog is causing travel problems — and school delays — Tuesday morning across northern Indiana and southern lower Michigan.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory through late morning.

Visibilities are expected to drop below a quarter-mile at times, with near-zero visibilities possible into early morning hours.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution this morning and

  • Use low-beam headlights;

  • Slow down;

  • Leave ample space between vehicles.
