SOUTH BEND — A 23-year-old South Bend police was treated at an area hospital after being assaulted by two men at his girlfriend’s home, according to police reports.

Police said the man told them his girlfriend called to ask him to come and see their baby in a home in the 4300 block of West Southview Lane.

He said as soon as he walked in the door, about 9 p.m. Sunday, he was hit in the face and "stomped on" by two men.

The victim told police he believes his girlfriend "set him up."

The two suspects have the same last name as his girlfriend, but the report did not say if they are related.
