Family escapes from Argos home in flames

No one was injured when a home in Argos caught fire early Wednesday.

The home was reported in flames about 1:30 a.m., according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

The occupants were able to escape the blaze in the 8100 block of Indiana 10, on the western outskirts of town.

People were also evacuated from two nearby mobile homes as a precaution.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire or extent of the damages.

Argos firefighters remained at the scene overnight, along with crews from nearby agencies called to assist.
