SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. -

Police are investigating after a 7-year-old boy was killed Saturday in a farming accident in Shipshewana.

It happened in the 4000 block of N. 450 W around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.

Sheriff Terry Martin with the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department confirms the boy is 7-year-old Kevin Lambright of Shipshewana.

Martin says Lambright was sitting on a makeshift seat on the bucket of a skidloader his father was driving when the seat came loose.

The boy fell back, onto the machine. Martin says Lambright was pronounced dead at the scene.

WSBT has also confirmed the boy is the brother of 22-year-old Derek Lambright who was killed in a vehicle accident in LaGrange County on November 22.
