Mother to Appear in Court, Accused of Beating Infant Daughter

By Beth Boehne

(WSBT) A woman accused of beating her infant daughter is scheduled to be in court Tuesday.

Barbara Schrock, 33, faces two felony charges for the incident in August 2005.

Prosecutors say she beat her 3-month-old daughter enough to cause a skull fracture and other broken bones.

Schrock claims a doctor told her to push her baby's legs into her stomach to help the baby have a bowel movement.

Her mother Elaine faces one felony charge of knowingly putting her granddaughter in danger.
