Appeal Set for Mich. Man Accused of Terrorist Ties

(WSBT) A southwest Michigan man accused of having terrorist ties now has a day in court to argue his appeal.

Ibrahim Parlak has a court hearing before a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on October 22.

He's appealing a decision to deport him to his native Turkey.

He was ordered out of the country for what the government says are past ties to a Turkish organization, now considered a terrorist group.

He has lived in Harbert, Mich. for more than 10 years and runs a restaurant there.

Earlier this year, Ibrahim's brother, Husyein, was deported to Turkey.
