Car Hits Pole, Knocks Out Power

(WSBT) A St. Joseph County car accident caused traffic trouble and power outages in Harris Township Sunday.

Police say a man driving south on Currant Road veered off the road and hit a telephone pole.

The crash knocked out power to a few traffic lights including a busy intersection at Capital and Cleveland.

Officers were called out to direct traffic as power was being restored.

The driver was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.
