These days it seems like most kids are spending more time at home than in the classroom. Many local school districts have already used up a lot of snow days.
But we learned overnight that some schools could make up for lost time if they're willing to adjust their schedules.
State Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz announced last night that schools can make up a snow day by adding an hour to six school days.
That's according to the Indy Star.
Certain schools could also make up the time with weekend online lessons.
That's good news for P-H-M and Elkhart schools -- they're both just shy of 10 snow days this year.
It's not clear if all schools will make this new request.
Some schools may still have to add-on to the end of the year to make up for lost time.
South Bend Schools say the changes shouldn't affect graduation dates.
