A Democrat is officially entering the race, hoping to eventually challenge a Republican incumbent for congress in northern Indiana.
Today Joe Bock is announcing he's now in the race for Indiana's 2nd District Congressional seat.
The seat is currently held by Republican Jackie Walorski.
Walorski is serving her first 2-year term in the House. Before that she was an Indiana State Representative.
Bock, 56, works for Notre Dame as the director of global health training at the Eck Institute of Global health.
Bock Served in the Missouri State Legislature for three terms.

Bock could face a primary challenge from Dan Morrison of Elkhart, who finished 2nd in the 2010 Democratic primary.
