South Bend police have identified the man killed after his moped collided with a semi Monday near Lincolnway and Sample St.
Around 10:15 a.m., police and medics were called to the scene.

Police say 60-year-old Jerry Sailor was rushed to Memorial Hospital but died from severe head injuries.
Witnesses told investigators Sailor was driving his moped west on Sample, drove into the intersection at Lincolnway into the path of a westbound semi which is owned by Troyer's Food Distribution of Goshen.
Witnesses said the semi driver tried to avoid the collision but couldn't.
Sailor struck the right rear of the semi trailer, was thrown from his moped and landed under the rear of the trailer.
Police say Sailor was not wearing a helmet.
