It's one of the biggest and most colorful 5K runs sweeping the nation, and Saturday, it makes its debut in South Bend.

More than 7,000 people have already signed up for The Color Run.

It starts at the Cove at 9 a.m.

Runners must wear white and at each mile marker get covered with different colors.

The event benefits Make-A-Difference Michiana, Girls on the Run and Memorial Children's Hospital.

"It's less about how fast you run the face and more about spending time with friends and family, coming out to have some fun and throw some color," said Organizer Jackson Cozzens.

You can still register online until midnight Friday or Saturday morning at the Cove.
