LAPORTE -

At halftime at the Colts game Sunday a LaPorte High School football player who died during a practice last month was honored.

Jake West's family took to the field and were given a Number 26 Colts jersey. Jake wore the number 26 when he played for the LaPorte Slicers. He died of a previously undetected genetic heart problem.

And Rod Bradway -- the Indianapolis police officer killed in the line of duty last month -- was also honored before the Colts game Sunday afternoon.

His family was presented with a jersey. Bradway is a Nappanee native.

The Colts beat the Seattle Seahawks 34-28.
