ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -

A deputy chairman of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party is looking for a promotion.

Jason Critchlow is throwing his hat into the ring by officially announced his campaign to run for county party chairman.

Critchlow is a lifelong resident of St. Joseph County and serves as a board member for the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library and the Westside Memorial Day Parade.

In his official notice to county Democratic Party Precinct members, Critchlow writes:

“It is with the support the Party Central Committee and many other local Democratic Party leaders that I submit my name for consideration. I am extremely proud to be part of a Party that encourages inclusiveness from individuals with many different backgrounds. I believe that the small differences we have as individuals combined with our ability to come together to fight for our principles is what continues to keep us strong. It has been my honor and pleasure to serve the Democratic Party of St. Joseph County in several capacities and I pledge to continue to work to make our party even stronger in the future once elected Chair.”

After graduating from Washington High School, he attended Indiana University and Indiana University South Bend where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Affairs degree. 

He is a project manager in the field of clinical research.
