June 13, 1963: Kathleen Savio is born
1980: Peterson and Hamilton divorce.
1982: Peterson marries Victoria Rutkiewicz. They do not have any children.
Jan. 20, 1984: Stacy Ann Cales is born.
1992: Peterson and Rutkiewcz divorce after she learns he is having an affair for Kathleen Savio.
May 3, 1992: Kathleen Savio becomes Peterson's third wife. The couple later has two sons: Christopher and Thomas
October 2001: Savio receives a letter accusing Peterson, 43, of having an affair with 17-year-old Stacy Cales, a front desk clerk at a Bolingbrook hotel.
March 13, 2002: Peterson files for divorce. Savio files a counter petition the next day.
Nov. 14, 2002: Amid a bitter divorce, Savio sends a letter to the Will County state's attorney's office saying she fears Peterson may kill her.
Oct. 10, 2003: Savio and Peterson are officially divorced, though they are still working on a financial settlement. A financial settlement hearing is set for April 6, 2004.
Oct 18, 2003: Peterson, then 49, marries 19-year-old Stacy Cales, Their 3-month-old son, Anthony, attends the wedding. Daughter, Lacy, is born less than two years later.
February 29, 2004: Stacy awakes to find Peterson missing, prosecutors say. She calls his cell, but he does not answer. He returns home after midnight dressed in black and carrying a bag of women's clothes that don't belong to Stacy.
March 1, 2004: Savio is found dead in her bathtub. Her death is ruled an accidental drowning.
April 8, 2004: Peterson is awarded full ownership of the Montgomery bar and Bolingbrook home co-owned by he and Savio.
August 2007: Stacy meets with Pastor Neil Schori at a Starbucks coffee shop near her home. She tells him about the night before Savio's body was found and says that Peterson coached her to provide a false alibi.
Oct. 28, 2007: Stacy spoke with a friend by telephone at 10 a.m., but never shows up at a relative's house to help paint. Peterson tells them that her relatives that she left him for another man.
Oct. 29, 2007: Concerned when she does not answer her ever-present cell phone, relatives report her missing to police.
