Technology, especially computers, have been a part of my life since I was a toddler. My first computer was a Texas Instruments TI-99, and I quickly graduated to a Commodore 64, and it was all uphill from there. Now that I've laid out my tech "street cred", I'll get down to business. Somewhere around 2003, Apple piqued my interest and I've been hooked since.

Here are 3 solids, as to why I am an Apply Fanboy, and why you should be one too!

Streamline

Apple streamlines the process of developing the hardware and the software, and in my opinion, this is what makes for great computing products. When a company can manufacture the appropriate hardware to run their operating system, everything works - consistently. In my experience, this is the drawback to Windows in regards to computers and Android in regards to mobile devices.

When the market has dozens of manufacturers creating devices of varying degrees of performance, along with multiple versions of the OS installed, how can be ensured of a quality and consistent user experience. My Apple products are all operating on the current OS for the respective devices. Through this, I believe you gain a better software experience, as developers know exactly what the hardware capabilities of your device are.

Connected

How capable Apple products are, especially when working together, is a prime reason that I am a fan. Let me draw a picture of my connected living room. I have my iPhone and iPad connected to WiFi, and on the same network is my Macbook and AppleTV. With "Home Sharing" turned on in iTunes, I can control my Macbook with my phone and tablet and even stream content to my TV. The best feature is taking streaming apps on my iPad, like A&E or PBS Kids, and streaming the content to my TV via AppleTV and Airplay Mirroring. Don't get me wrong, this is a feature that, with a lot or workarounds, I could accomplish in the past with my Macbook, Android phone and Roku streaming box. Why work so hard, when Apple thought I would want to do this anyway? Exactly!

Aesthetics

I thought about whether I should go this direction or not, and I will. Apple products are designed to look good. Simple lines and uniform appearance doesn't draw too much attention, and material details add to the experience and reflect the quality of the device. I would much rather invest in an iPad, with it's smooth glass and aluminum body, than a similarly priced Android powered tablet, decked out in plastic. The difference is that other devices just appear and feel like toys. Granted, Apple has come along way from it's bright colored iMacs and clamshell iBooks, but I feel they have held true to designing products that appeal to current consumers.

Who doesn't look cool with Apple products?
Don't say that I didn't warn you. That's my Apple Fanboy rant. I LOVE APPLE PRODUCTS! Let me know what you like or dislike about Apple, and what your favorite devices are in the comments below.
