It could be a very windy night across Michiana.

This statement came from the National Weather Service late Tuesday afternoon:

SOUTH WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE 20 TO 30 MPH LATE THIS AFTERNOON BUT
WILL LIKELY GUST TO 40 TO 45 MPH AT TIMES.

WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE MAY CAUSE DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS... ESPECIALLY FOR TALL LARGE VEHICLES SUCH AS SEMI TRUCKS ON EAST-WEST ROADWAYS.

TWIGS OR SMALL TREE BRANCHES MAY BE BLOWN DOWN AND LIGHT LOOSE OBJECTS SUCH AS GARBAGE CANS MAY BE BLOWN AROUND.

THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SUBSIDE BY SUNDOWN.
