EDWARDSBURG, Mich. -

Some local high school students listened to some great music on Friday, thanks to the Michigan State University Marching Band.

The MSU band, in town for the Notre Dame football game, performed and held a clinic at Edwardsburg High School for students from seven different school districts.

The students got to learn college level music and basic college style marching, and of course had a little fun.

"It's very exciting," said Edwardsburg H.S. Principal Jeff Leslie. "Our kids that are students here, they can look and say, 'Hey, that can be me someday.' Whether it's Michigan State, Ohio State, or Notre Dame or Purdue, some of those great bands that we have around here."

This was the first clinic performed by the Michigan State Marching Band in this area in 8 years.

The band performed at the Dowagiac High School football game Friday night.
