Bethany Galat from Penn high school is the 2014 WSBT & Burger King outstanding student athlete of the year.

Galat's magnificent senior year at Penn High School started last summer, when she won the junior national championship in her marquis event, the 100 breast stroke.

Galat later dominated the state swimming meet, where she won three state titles (200 IM, 200 freestyle relay & 100 breast stroke) and broke the state record, becoming the first female in state history to swim the 100 yard breast stroke in under a minute.

Overall, she closed her prep career with SIX state titles!

As a result, Galat finished her senior season as the 13th ranked High school swimmer in the entire country, according to recruiting services.

Galat will continue her swimming career at Texas A&M, a powerhouse in the pool.
