The semi flipped on its side.

County dispatch told WSBT one person suffered arm, leg and facial injuries and was taken to the hospital, although the injuries were not life-threatening.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes. However, because of the debris from the accident, police had to close all four lanes between New and Madison Roads.

Dispatch expected U.S. 31 to be shut down for several hours while crews cleaned the scene.
