Police and the SWAT team were called to a home in Mishawaka Thursday afternoon.

It was on 6th Street near Main.

Officers went through the home, and police told WSBT around 3 p.m., they were serving a warrant at what they called a nuisance home.

Police have conducted surveillance of the home for 30 days, and there were a number of people there who tried to flee in a car but were caught nearby.

WSBT has police had been investigating the house for narcotics for about a month.

A few of the suspects left the house in a car but were arrested after a short pursuit.

Then police raided the house where they also found a semi-automatic rifle.

8 people were arrested there in addition to the suspects in the car.
