The Elkhart County community continues to mourn the loss of one very special teenager.

Today, the visitation is being held for 15-year-old Sarah Crane.

The Memorial High School student died last Saturday after battling colon cancer.

In her honor, the community started the Sarah Strong Campaign. And her grandmother says she wants them to keep working against the disease that killed Crane.

"It's so amazing how our community came together as one," said Maddy Keeslar, friend of Sarah's older sister Ally. "I see on social networking sites kids I've never even heard of that I know don't go to Elkhart Community Schools and they are supporting Sarah and her family like crazy."

Matthew Rose, Sarah's step-cousin, said he's grateful Sarah is free from pain.

"I'm very thankful," Rose said. "She's been through a lot and it's been painful and tiring and she's in a lot better place now."

Visitation is today at Hartzler Guthermuth Inman Funeral home on Franklin Street in Elkhart from 4 to 8.

Her funeral is set for tomorrow at 10 at the California Road Missionary Church in Elkhart, where she was baptized.

The church has limited seating, and the service is meant for closer friends and family. You can watch a live broadcast of the service as it happens by clicking here: www.californiaroad.org.

A recorded version will also be available on that website after the service is over.
