AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Officials say an equipment fire at an Austin, Texas, dental office has burned three employees, including one who is critically injured.

Fire department Lt. Michael Littrell says alcohol from a torch caught fire during refilling when the fuel canister was knocked over Wednesday. The torch is used to seal and wax teeth.

Austin-Travis County EMS spokesman Warren Hassinger says a 25-year-old dental technician whose scrubs caught fire suffered "extensive" burns on more than 20 percent of her body.

A dentist and another male employee also suffered minor burns in the fire at Elite Dentistry.
