CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A small Camden high school has celebrated its first graduation ceremony along with a second achievement:Iit had no dropouts.

MetEast High School had its first graduation on Friday.

The school opened four years ago as part of the international network of schools set up by Big Picture Learning. The schools rely on internships and eschew traditional class structure.

Thirty students began as freshmen. All of them have graduated — though a few transferred or moved. And all 28 members of the graduating class have been accepted by colleges.

Camden's two big, traditional high schools consistently have some of the state's highest dropout rates.
