KELSO, Wash. (AP) — The Cowlitz County sheriff's office says a Kelso man died from falling out of his wheelchair after he was harassed by neighborhood dogs.

Investigators say a woman visitor to an adult care home was pushing the man's wheelchair Friday when several dogs came up. The woman let go of the wheelchair to shoo the dogs away. The wheelchair began to roll away. When she grabbed it, the man fell out into the grass.

The 58-year-old man was taken to Oregon Hospital and Science University Hospital in Portland where he died Sunday of his injuries.

The sheriff's office is calling the death accidental.
