FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Northeastern Indiana police say four women carrying "huge purses" stole more than $2,800 in lingerie from a Fort Wayne store.

The Journal Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/oO8ScF ) that officers were sent to the Victoria's Secret store Tuesday night after dispatchers were told four women were leaving Glenbrook Square mall with lots of stolen goods.

The women had fled by the time Fort Wayne police arrived.

Victoria's Secret employees told officers the women entered the store together, all carrying "huge purses," and were friendly with the staff.

Police said one woman would talk with an employee as a diversion while the others would collect bras and underwear. When an employee called co-workers for help, the four women fled the store with about 100 bras and women's underwear.
