IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (AP) — A man who worked at a McDonald's in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is charged with spitting in a customer's sandwich.
Dalton Ursulean was ordered Wednesday to stand trial in Dickinson County on a charge of placing a harmful object in food.
TV station WLUC reports (http://bit.ly/Ub4sJI ) that a co-worker testified seeing Ursulean spit in a sandwich ordered by an officer from an Iron Mountain VA hospital. The alleged incident occurred Aug. 25 in Iron Mountain in the western Upper Peninsula.
Attorney Dan Jaspen says Ursulean denies the allegation. He's in the county jail after being unable to post a high bond.
