INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Barack Obama's campaign raised almost three times as much money from Indiana residents last month as Democratic presidential foe Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Updated Federal Election Commission reports released Monday show that Obama collected $218,865 in Indiana during March, while Clinton raised $79,622.

Both candidates have made multiple trips across Indiana in the past month, seeking support for the state's May 6 primary. Neither candidate has had a major fundraising event in the state in months.

Obama's Indiana fundraising advantage reflects the one he has nationally over Clinton. Indiana residents have given Obama's campaign $883,375 overall, with Clinton raising $664,254.

The FEC records show that Republican John McCain has raised $382,737 in Indiana.
