ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — Anderson police have arrested a man they say opened fire in a bar over the weekend, leaving two people seriously wounded.

Investigators booked 22-year-old Marquis Andre Foard of Anderson into the city's jail Monday on a preliminary charge of attempted murder.

The shooting on a crowded dance floor at Club 765 about 3 a.m. Sunday left a bullet in the head of 20-year-old Stevaughn Fuller. Twenty-four-year-old Andrea Mitchell of Muncie was shot in the abdomen.

Anderson police Detective Joel Sandefur said both victims were in serious condition at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Sandefur say the shootings occurred after Fuller's sister and Foard began arguing.
