GARY, Ind. (AP) — A 22-year-old man who said he lived and worked at a day care has been accused of dealing marijuana from the center while children were in the building.

Curtis Gill was charged with a felony count of maintaining a common nuisance and two misdemeanor charges of dealing marijuana. Police said undercover officers visited Gill twice at the center to buy marijuana, but its owners weren't aware of the dealing.

"He came out of the day-care center on both of the buys with kids present," Gary Police Sgt. John Jelks said.

Officers also charged Amado C. Mangual, 44, who lives behind Family Center Day Care, with a felony count of dealing.

Neither Gill nor Mangual could be reached for comment by The Associated Press. No phone numbers were listed for them. Representatives of the day care also could not be reached for comment.

Mangual, also known as "Junebug," was out on bond for a previous arrest. He already faced felony counts of dealing and marijuana possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. Police are requesting that his bond be revoked.
