Ex-teacher gets 3-15 years in sex case

DETROIT (AP) — A former Detroit-area Christian school teacher has been sentenced to three to 15 years in prison for having sex with a student.

A jury last month found Stephanie Ann Stein of Wayne County's Canton Township guilty of two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and other lesser charges. She was sentenced Thursday.

The 32-year-old mother of two was the student's teacher several years ago at Plymouth Christian Academy.

Authorities say the student was 15 when he and Stein had sex in the summer of 2007. The affair came to light after the boy's mother returned home on several occasions to discover Stein at her house.

A message seeking comment was left at the office of Stein's attorney, Todd Flood.

I doubt it is was molest. It sounds to me like he was an active happy participant. Doesn't make it right but he is NOT I repeat NOT innocent in this.

You mean to tell me that this 32 yr old teacher could not get a man her own age so she had to moleste a child. She is giving teachers a bad rep.
