FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say three men killed when a car crossed the median of Interstate 65 in a rainstorm into the path of a semitrailer were from Indiana and Kentucky.

Clinton County Coroner Ed Cripe on Tuesday identified those killed as: 23-year-old Eric Turner of Indianapolis; and 18-year-old Tyrone Richie Jr. and 19-year-old Julius Mitchell, both of Louisville, Ky.

Cripe says all three were wearing seat belts. He says Richie was the driver and Turner was in the front seat, while Mitchell was riding in the back.

The car was registered in Minnesota, but Indiana State Police Sgt. Dave Murray says it was a rental.

The truck driver wasn't injured.
