INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two sergeants in the Indiana National Guard have died in Iraq in separate incidents.

The Department of Defense says 37-year-old Sgt. Brian K. Miller of Pendleton died Saturday from injuries he suffered in a vehicle accident in Abd Allah. Miller was assigned to the National Guard's 76th Brigade Combat Team based in Fort Wayne.

Sgt. Gary Henry, an Indianapolis firefighter and a member of the Guard's 38th Military Police Company based in Danville, was reported killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq.

Fire Capt. Gregg Harris said Henry was a 12-year veteran of the Indianapolis Fire Department and worked as a special operations rescue coordinator.
