DETROIT (AP) — The home of Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, who's filed felony charges against Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, is in foreclosure.

County records cited by The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press say that as of July, Worthy owed more than $7,500 in back taxes and penalties on the house she bought in 2004 for $337,000.

Worthy, who's paid $154,521 a year, says a short sale of the 3,600-square-foot home is pending and there is an offer to buy it.

Worthy acknowledged in April that she had a federal tax liability secured by a lien on her home, and that the liability arose when she cashed in an IRA in 2003 to finance her campaign for prosecutor. She said at the time that she was making timely payments.
