PONTIAC (AP) — Pontiac police say three middle school boys beat one homeless man to death and critically injured a second during a three-day violence spree.

Police are holding two 14-year-olds and one 15-year-old, all students at Jefferson Middle School. They're expected to face murder charges.

Police say the boys attacked Wilford Hamilton Thursday. He died Monday at POH Regional Medical Center. They say the boys attacked a second homeless man Friday, and he remained in critical condition at the hospital Tuesday.

Police tell the Detroit Free Press and WDIV-TV the teens attacked two other men Saturday before they were caught.

Chop off those little criminals left hand. The next time they try to beat someone chop off their right hand. Pretty soon they'll stop. Trust me.

OMG, Scott, I do hope you didn't mean they were ONLY homeless men. If you did you are no better than the thugs that beat the homeless. You could even be one of their fathers---wonder where they get their evilness and disregard for human life?

Feel sorry for these little monsters? And worry that they will be 'forever branded'. They need to be 'forever locked up'. They should NEVER walk the streets again and should die in prison. But, I am sure they will be let out in a short time and will have a long lifetime of crime ahead of them. Not to mention a long trail of victims. If I were Queen I would have them put humanely euthanized like the rabid animals they are.

They committed an adult crime. Give them life. They choose life in prison over an education and growing to mature upstanding U.S. citizens.

Anyone that has total disregard for human life even at the young age of these boys has to held accountable for THEIR actions. How unfortunate for the homeless people anyway but then be subjected to a beating until they die! How can you hold the parents responsible for their children actions when you cannot watch them or be with them 24/7? My prayers go out to all of the families

This was not a mistake. This was murder. A mindset that could commit these atrocious acts, is not going to learn from "mistakes". The malice required to commit such an act is frightening to think about. Lock these little monsters up in an institution for the criminally insane. I shudder to think that this is the future of our country.

Bad parents or good parents, these kids are still old enough to know right from wrong. They KNOW they committed one of the ugliest crimes possible and should be punished the same as any adult would be punished. At 4 or 5 years old, my child knew better than to hurt anyone else. Most kids do. These kids are evil and nothing will change them until someone takes drastic measures to change them, and then they may never become good citizens. Some people are born without a conscience.

I dont feel sorry for the kids at all! They are old enough to know better! What they did is horrible! I wonder what the parents are like!

I do NOT feel sorry for these boys. Even at fourteen we all need to learn that our actions are not the fault of someone else. We need to get this country away from the 'I did it but it's not my fault' way of thinking...

Where on earth are the parents?!! I feel sorry for these kids because they will be forever branded. I hope they learn from their mistakes, and I am sorry they will have to learn the hard way, but as they say, if you don't educate your kids at home, someone on the streets will
